First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Porsche Consulting.
Intern
The interview process was split into a few clear parts. First, there was a quick in-person intro, then typical HR/fit questions focusing on motivation, past experiences, and interest in consulting. A big part was about key learnings from prior internships, with specific questions on challenges, your role, and what you learned. It was important to answer in a structured way, highlighting your development. Finally, there was a case study to check analytical thinking, structuring skills, and a clean approach. Overall, the interview was challenging but fair and very professionally handled.
- Can you describe your responsibilities during your most recent internship?
- What were your main takeaways from your past internships?
- Could you share some challenges encountered during your previous internships?
Consultant
The interviews went well and were professional. The interviewers were very nice, and communication was good. In the end, after the 3rd interview, I received an automated rejection email, even though communication in the previous steps was by phone. This ultimately gave me a false impression of the company.
- First interview only with HR: typical HR questions to check job fit
- Technical interview: questions about your CV + technical questions and at the end a case study
- Personal fit interview: questions that check your suitability for the consultant role/job. Also technical questions and a brainteaser
Consultant Mobility
The interview process started with a 30-minute phone call with HR to briefly discuss motivation, personal experiences, and English skills. They also touch upon salary expectations, referencing the application details. If that goes well, the second interview is with a Senior Manager, focusing deeply on your resume and past work. Be well-prepared with structured stories about what you did and how you did it. This also included a short, relaxed 10-minute case study on the relevant topic. You could also ask questions to the interviewers. If the second interview was successful, the third interview is with Partners. This round is less about technical details and more about general motivation and fit for consulting. It involved a simple brain teaser, and afterwards, you'll hear if you get an offer.
- Could you explain your interest in consulting and specifically in Porsche Consulting?
- Can you elaborate on why you're interested in a consulting career and Porsche Consulting?
Manager
This was honestly the worst interview experience I've ever had. First off, the interviewer was 15 minutes late and didn't even say sorry, just started complaining about the previous person. Then, halfway through, they took a 10-minute call and just left me hanging. Again, no apology when they got back. To top it off, they spent the first part of the interview bragging about consulting and how tough it is with work-life balance. I'm already in consulting, so after about 30 minutes, I realized I really didn't want to work with this person and decided to just walk away from the process.
- Can you tell me about how you led your team on a specific project?
- Walk me through how you achieved a particular saving.
- How do you typically handle and manage conflicts?
