Senior Software Engineer
First, an HR call to discuss your interests. Then, the hiring team will interview you and ask technical questions. They want to know about the size of projects you handled and the types of programs you've done. They'll get back to you in about 3 weeks with an offer if things go well.
- What makes you feel you're a good fit for this position?
- Can you describe the scale of projects you've managed in your professional experience?
- What are the different kinds of programs you have completed throughout your career?
Senior Mechanical Engineer
The interview process was smooth overall. I had three rounds, with two conducted by the India team and one by the Ireland team. The initial rounds with the India team were primarily technical, as was the second round with the Ireland team. A negative aspect was the HR's unresponsiveness for extended periods after each interview round; I had to push for quick scheduling. After the third round, there was no further communication, and my time felt wasted for a month. It felt like they were playing with emotions by simply stating 'Hold.' If salary was an issue, the HR should have communicated that before the first round.
- Can you discuss the details of the equipment you've handled and the challenges you faced with it?
Engineer
This was a fair, competency-based, and scenario-based interview process. It included company introductions and HR/recruitment questions. The interview panel was diverse. The language used was 'Strategic', 'Dynamic', 'Methodical', 'Creative', 'Reliable', 'Focused', or 'Organized'. We discussed company topics, focusing on PM Group being a leading international engineering, architecture, project, and construction management firm with offices in Europe, Asia, and the US, employing over 3,500 people. We deliver complex projects in life sciences, food and beverages, mission critical/ICT, advanced manufacturing, energy, and environmental sectors. Our vision is to be a creative delivery partner building a sustainable world, and our people are key to this.

Instrumentation Engineer
I was interviewed for the India office. It was unprofessional and the instrumentation interviewer seemed to lack experience. Unprofessional aspects included the interviewer keeping their video off during the entire video call and not appearing prepared, as they opened my resume and shared their screen while asking questions related to it. I was asked generalized questions that required explanation, but I was interrupted with a new question after every sentence. The interviewer's internet connection was also poor, causing voice distortion. I had to skip some questions because the audio was unclear, and I had already asked the interviewer to repeat them more than three times. The interviewer lacked experience, as the reference document for the questions contained errors and some questions were incorrect or specific to a particular project. Most importantly, the interviewer was unable to explain the questions, only repeating them. If I didn't answer, the question was changed. The interviewer was also unaware of some SPI functions and repeated a question even after I provided the correct answer. Surprisingly, no questions were asked about my previous company, where I gained most of my work experience. Instead, questions were asked about my current company, where I've only been for a few years, which felt like a small part of the overall picture. Only the HR representative was polite, professional, and prompt in responding to emails.
- Can you discuss your work experience at your current company?
- Describe your responsibilities as a Lead Engineer in your present role.
- According to API 521, which service addresses control valves preceding a PSV?
