Training and Development Manager
I applied for a Training & Development Manager position and was invited to interview. I was asked to manually send my availability for the following days without a scheduling tool. I sent several time slots, but got no response. After my proposed dates passed, I proactively sent new availability for the next week, again with no reply. I reached out to the hiring manager on LinkedIn, no reply. I then contacted the Global Head of HR to follow up, also no reply. As someone in HR and a university instructor, I find this candidate experience disappointing, especially since clear communication and basic scheduling tools are standard. The lack of follow-up is unprofessional and reflects poorly on the hiring process.

In-House Counsel
The interview process felt pretty laid-back and unstructured. The HR folks are based in Valencia, Spain, so the initial phone screen might happen in your morning Pacific time. After that, I went through two additional interviews. Honestly, I kind of led the interviews by asking a lot of questions myself. Regarding compensation, it's true that the salaries offered are quite low compared to similar roles, maybe at least 25% below the market rate. It's also worth noting that the online job posting didn't include a salary range, which could be an issue under California law.

Corporate Partnerships
The hiring process involves an initial HR screen, followed by a case study interview with the team in Valencia. Subsequently, you'll have an interview with the local team of the office you'll be supporting, either in EMEA or the US. The whole process typically concludes within a month.
- What is your motivation for joining Plug and Play?
Partnership Associate
The hiring process was pretty straightforward and the steps were easy to understand: first, a call with HR, then a call with the project coordinator, followed by a business case exercise. Finally, I had to present the case to four senior managers from Italy and Valencia. After all that, they went radio silent for two weeks, ignoring emails. Then, an automated email came from HR saying the process was closed due to too many applicants. They didn't even provide feedback when asked. For a company of this caliber and reputation, I expected a much more professional approach.
