First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Perkins Eastman.
Marketing Manager
The interview process was unprofessional and incompetent. I first had a chat with a recruiter who seemed really eager to just get through it. Then I interviewed with the hiring manager, who was also unprepared and incompetent. Honestly, I felt like I had to lead the whole interview myself. I'd recommend avoiding this company.

Associate Consultant
When you apply for a job, you might go through a lot of interviews. The interview process can be different lengths and have many stages, like panels or phone/video calls. Preparing for your interview helps you feel confident and increases your chances of getting an offer. We'll go over the interview process, its key stages, and what to expect. The interview process is how employers screen and hire people. While the stages can change based on the industry or job, the general flow is usually the same. Here are the steps you might take: A screening interview is a quick check to see if you're qualified. They'll make sure your education, skills, and experience match the job requirements to move you to the next stages. These can be group interviews or open interviews at job fairs. If there are many applicants, hiring teams use phone interviews to narrow down the candidates for an in-person interview. With remote work, phone or video interviews are common to check suitability. You might discuss your experience and skills with a hiring manager. Video interviews are often done on platforms like Skype. This can be the main interview format. Some might be asked to do recorded video interviews where you record your answers to employer questions, and the hiring team reviews them. Skills assessments might be needed for practical or technical skills. These could be online or in-office tests that are pass/fail. They might also give you an assignment, like writing something, for the hiring team to review. A first interview is usually with the hiring manager. It focuses on your qualifications, job history, and experience. If you do well, you'll move on to interviews with other managers and staff.

Intern
I had a 30-minute Zoom chat with two project architects. I was asked to walk them through my portfolio projects and what I did on them. I didn't have to share my screen. They also asked some questions about working in a team, what I'm interested in, my career aspirations, and why I'm keen on this company.
- Could you describe your portfolio projects and your role in them?
- What's your experience with teamwork?
- What are your interests?
Interior Designer
The interview kicked off with introductions, followed by a casual chat about my schooling. Then, we moved on to a company overview, a description of the skills needed for the role, and a brief mention of my portfolio. They also asked some questions about internships and gave me some information about the internship application deadline.
