First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Perkins Eastman.
Intern
So the interview started with me introducing myself briefly. Then I presented two of my projects. After that, we had a chat where I asked some questions about the company and their culture.
- Could you detail one of your portfolio projects, focusing on its conceptual genesis?
Intern
I had a 30-minute Zoom chat with two project architects. I was asked to walk them through my portfolio projects and what I did on them. I didn't have to share my screen. They also asked some questions about working in a team, what I'm interested in, my career aspirations, and why I'm keen on this company.
- Could you describe your portfolio projects and your role in them?
- What's your experience with teamwork?
- What are your interests?
Intern
It was pretty simple. They brought me to the office, gave me a tour. I was asked questions throughout. I built a model in the model shop, and then we went through my portfolio. They asked me questions about my experience and why I'm interested in architecture, etc.
- Can you tell me about your portfolio?
- Could you elaborate on your experience?
- What draws you to architecture?
