This was a conversation with an experienced manager who clearly cared about their work and set accurate expectations. The atmosphere was welcoming, and it was an opportunity to talk about why the bank is a great place to be.

I first talked with the branch manager, and then a few days later I spoke with his manager. Both of them were chill and helped me feel less nervous. They came prepared with questions for me.

The interview process was pretty chill. Started with a recruiter call where I mostly just talked about my past roles and the recruiter took notes. Then I had an interview with my future manager; she did most of the talking, and it was very straightforward.

Applied online and got a call the next day saying the position was filled but there was another one open nearby. The recruiter asked some basic questions over the phone and said someone would follow up. A few days later, they contacted me to set up an in-person interview at the branch. I met with two managers and the market manager. They asked similar questions, mainly to gauge my comfort level with customers and if I was shy. After that, I went home and got a call a couple of days later saying they accepted me. Then, I went to Hartford to meet with HR for a brief company introduction and to complete a background check. I also had to get fingerprinted, which they reimburse. I started once the background check was cleared.
