I applied for the full-time teller position and was contacted quickly to schedule a phone interview. The recruiter seemed pleasant via email, but on the day of the interview, I waited about fifteen minutes past the scheduled time. When the call finally happened, the recruiter seemed to be having a bad day and was either uninterested or cranky. Despite the interviewer's demeanor, I answered their questions politely. I haven't received a response since the interview. I was really looking forward to working at People's United Bank, so it's a shame this happened.

So first you'll have an interview with the branch manager. They usually ask you to just, like, describe yourself, simple stuff. And they'll ask about how banks function. And you should know PUB history. Then the second interview is with the market manager and he'll ask you in-depth questions about banking products and sales. You should prepare yourself by learning about the services they offer and what you have to offer them if they hire you. It's basically a sales pitch for yourself.

Behavioral Technical

I applied for the job and heard back in a few days about a phone interview. After that, they called me for a second interview, but it was for a branch I didn't even apply to. They claimed the spot at my original location was filled, even though I saw the listing was still active online. The manager I was supposed to talk to kept playing hard to get. I called every day for about a week and a half, but couldn't get a hold of them. Finally, a manager from a different branch called to set up an interview. This manager seemed really unprepared and unsure of what to ask during the interview. A week after that, I got an email saying I didn't get the job.
