The interview process was okay. It started with a one-way pre-recorded video interview. If you passed that, the next step was a phone screen with a recruiter. The cool thing about the one-way video interview is you get unlimited tries to answer each question, and you can re-record after seeing your previous take to improve your answer or body language. The recruiter call was alright; it was mostly me asking her questions because she said the one-way interview gave them enough info about me and they wanted me to have the chance to ask questions, so be prepared with questions. I didn't get past the recruiter phone screen.

The interview process included 2 interviews, each 45 minutes long. There was also a 45-minute phone interview with the managing director and a Microsoft Excel assessment that took about an hour. It was pretty casual, which made it feel comfortable. Sometimes it felt more like a chat than a formal interview, letting me be more myself instead of a nervous candidate.

After I applied, I was asked to record an interview which was a bit unexpected. Then, I had a screening call with HR. The person I spoke with was really unprofessional and gave me some major red flags. The next part was a marathon of 4 back-to-back Zoom interviews that lasted about 2.5 hours. One of these interviews required me to prepare a PowerPoint and present it. Although the interviewers didn't really engage with my presentation, some of them were nice enough. They asked about my past experience, my current role, why I'm interested in Pearl Meyer, and my technical and research abilities. I didn't hear back for two weeks after the interviews, so I reached out. That's when I found out I didn't make the cut. The whole experience was pretty off-putting, to be honest.

It was very straightforward. The HR person called for the first interview to give me more info on the role and ask some basic questions about my experience. Then I had an in-person interview where they asked more questions about my past experience and some behavioral questions. Nothing tricky or confusing, just very straightforward.
