First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Pearl Meyer & Partners.
Compensation Analyst
The interview process was okay. It started with a one-way pre-recorded video interview. If you passed that, the next step was a phone screen with a recruiter. The cool thing about the one-way video interview is you get unlimited tries to answer each question, and you can re-record after seeing your previous take to improve your answer or body language. The recruiter call was alright; it was mostly me asking her questions because she said the one-way interview gave them enough info about me and they wanted me to have the chance to ask questions, so be prepared with questions. I didn't get past the recruiter phone screen.
- Can you share your experience with Excel?
- Could you tell me about a challenging project you encountered?
- What motivates your interest in joining Pearl Meyer?

I applied online. First, I had a phone screening with a recruiter to go over basic info about Pearl Meyer and my background. Then, I had in-person interviews with some Directors and VPs at the local office. They asked basic interview questions.
- What's your approach to managing several projects at once?
- What do you do when you're given minimal information about what's expected of you?
Compensation Analyst
The process started with a basic 30-minute phone interview where we discussed my resume and relevant experience. A couple weeks later, I was flown to Charlotte for an in-person interview. There, I met with most of the office staff, including three executives and one consultant. These were informal, conversational interviews, lasting about 20-30 minutes each. We talked about their daily tasks, their career paths with the company, why I was a good fit for the job, my education and work history, and what to expect in the role. The office is small, with about 6-7 employees, most of whom are older (40-50 years old), so it might feel a bit awkward for recent college grads as there aren't many younger people working there.
- Describe a situation where you felt uncomfortable at work and how you handled it.
