Operations Analyst
Got a call from a recruiter about applying. It was pretty quick from applying to getting asked to do a recorded digital interview. They asked me around 15 straightforward questions, mostly asking about why I'm interested in the company and about my personal background.
- What makes you want to join our company?
- Could you tell me a bit about yourself?
Coordinator
The hiring manager and I really clicked in the first round. However, the second round with an executive director was a different story. She seemed to really dislike me, getting annoyed because one of my answers wasn't as brief as she expected, even though we still ended the interview with 5 minutes to spare.
- What are your career aspirations for the next three years?
Software Engineer Intern
Applied via the company portal and a recruiter reached out via email to schedule an interview. The interview was an hour long and conducted by two software engineers, split into three rounds: first, a review of Java concepts, then an easy LeetCode problem, and finally, a task involving resolving errors in provided code.
- Could you answer some questions about Java?
- Tell me about your understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOPs).
- Do you have experience with Spring Boot?
Intern
The process started with a phone screen with two engineers. They asked basic questions like the difference between a stack and queue, what projects I've done and the technologies used, and the use of recursive functions. Then there was an onsite interview with three parts. The first was a short 10-minute chat with an engineer about my projects and experience, and they talked about the job. The second was a 45-minute pair programming session. The third was with HR, and it felt like they were just waiting for the other two to recommend me so the hiring manager could decide if a fourth interview was worth it.
- Can you explain the difference between a stack and a queue?
- Could you tell us about a project you've worked on?
- Can you design a store merchandise system?
