This interview was really bad. The hiring manager was super condescending and late. She didn't even seem interested in my portfolio or the project I made for the interview. It felt like she'd already decided I wasn't good enough. Total waste of time.

I went through a group interview that was held in the back of the store. The managers conducting the interview were really nice, friendly, and seemed to enjoy themselves. For this Sales Associate position, there's just one interview. They were clearly looking for candidates who were laid-back, likable, and talkative, but not overly so.

The recruiter reached out to set up a phone screen, and it was scheduled for a couple days later. Unfortunately, after waiting 15 minutes past the scheduled time for the recruiter's call, I had to email them to check in. They called a few minutes later, but the connection was bad and the call dropped. I waited a bit for them to call back, but then I called them myself after a few more minutes of waiting, and they didn't pick up. I then sent another email to follow up, and I still haven't heard back. It was a really bad experience, and my first impression of the company wasn't good!

So, the interview process for this role usually has a few steps to check if you're a good fit. It normally kicks off with a quick chat, like a phone or video call, to see if you meet the basics. If that goes well, you'll likely have some more interviews, either in person or online. These might involve talking about how you've handled situations before, some skills tests, or maybe a mock sales pitch. You'll probably talk to a few different people, like your potential boss and some teammates. Towards the end, they might check your references and then get into the offer details. It can change a bit depending on the company and the exact job.
