I was referred and went through the usual process, starting with a phone call with the recruiter. It felt pretty standard, like they were just going through the motions. Even though I answered everything and felt I was super qualified, I knew by the end of the call that I didn't want to move forward, so I told the recruiter in an email.

I had several interviews, first with the team leader, then HR, and finally the division head. While the lower-level interactions felt good regarding attitude and culture, the upper management interview had a very different vibe.
