The first interview with Zach went well, but the second one with Kevin was terrible. They attempted to trick me during a role-play exercise, which involved asking a client about their ideal candidate and then pitching myself as that candidate, even though I had no prior experience with such a task. Kevin's feedback at the end was extremely rude and condescending. Honestly, even if an offer were extended, I wouldn't accept it because it was the worst interviewer experience I've ever had. It makes me wonder how he treats his employees. Other recruitment agencies show much more respect. I would seriously consider looking for opportunities elsewhere.

First there was a phone call to chat about the job and my past jobs and if I was a good fit. Then I met with the talent acquisition person, it was a chill chat about the job, the vibe of the company, and how I might fit in. The dress code was smart casual, which was a relief. Later that same day, I interviewed with two senior folks. The last step was meeting the CEO. This was a long one, over 90 mins, and included a role-play of a consultant talking to a client, which I knew about beforehand. It was cool that the CEO took so much time. Also, the person I spoke with most, the talent acquisition specialist, was off on holiday, but her manager checked in to make sure I had everything I needed before the CEO meeting and felt good about the process.

After a phone screen, I had an interview with a senior engineering individual contributor. That went well, and they seemed very skilled and capable of performing at a high level. However, their senior seemed quite young, which might hint at their hiring practices based on other reviews. The next step was a live programming challenge, which was then reviewed with a peer and recorded for further review.
