First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Oscar Recruit.
Resource Consultant
First there was a phone call to chat about the job and my past jobs and if I was a good fit. Then I met with the talent acquisition person, it was a chill chat about the job, the vibe of the company, and how I might fit in. The dress code was smart casual, which was a relief. Later that same day, I interviewed with two senior folks. The last step was meeting the CEO. This was a long one, over 90 mins, and included a role-play of a consultant talking to a client, which I knew about beforehand. It was cool that the CEO took so much time. Also, the person I spoke with most, the talent acquisition specialist, was off on holiday, but her manager checked in to make sure I had everything I needed before the CEO meeting and felt good about the process.
- Tell me what you know about our company and this job.
- How would you describe yourself as a person, both at work and outside of it?
- What motivates you on a day-to-day basis?
Resource Consultant
It was a group hiring day with about 13-14 other people. It was really chill and relaxed, with a presentation and snacks, everyone was happy. We did group pitches for an exercise and then individual elevator pitches in front of the employees. After they narrowed down the applicants, we were paired up for "speed-interviews" with each team member, who focused on different parts of the job/getting to know us. We then went out for drinks to keep getting to know each other and they made the decision the next day. Definitely one of the best interview processes I've ever had.
- What is your motivation for success?
- What is the best way for you to learn?
Resource Consultant
The interview process at Oscar is very professional and has multiple stages. Be prepared for both online and in-person interviews. You'll talk to many important people within the company who want to know why you want to work there. You'll need to speak on Microsoft Teams and in the office. There's a CV task to test your recruitment understanding, and a small role play in the face-to-face interview which you'll be prepped for. Overall, Oscar's recruitment process is challenging but necessary to see if you have the right attitude and skills for the role.
