Behavioral Technical

I applied online and got a call the next day for a quick HR interview. Then, I was set up for an in-person interview the following week, which lasted about three hours. It involved three separate panel interviews, each with two interviewers. All the questions were behavioral, so I needed specific examples from past situations. I also had an Excel test with six questions. Each interview and the Excel test took 45 minutes. It took a couple of weeks after the interview for them to let me know their decision.

Behavioral Technical Case

I had an initial phone chat with an HR person who seemed nice. After that, she put my name forward for a hiring event that was happening the next week for a new store opening nearby. The hiring event itself was pretty hectic, as I figured it would be. I decided to go on the second day of the event. Upon arrival, an associate guided me to my first interviewer. She had a list and went through it quickly while looking at my resume. She asked very few questions. I only got to ask one question before she sent me back to the waiting area to await my next interviewer. The second person I met asked me about 3 or 4 customer service scenarios and one question about my character.

Behavioral Other

I spoke with the department head and the assistant store manager, each in a separate conversation. The department head's chat was quick, about 6 or 7 minutes. Then, I had a longer talk with the assistant store manager, around 25 to 30 minutes. Both chats felt pretty casual and really friendly. They were great at answering all my questions with good details. It was a laid-back interview, and they both really made the company and the job sound fantastic. I was seriously impressed by the company, the folks I met, and even the other employees I saw around. This is definitely a place I'd love to work. They are super focused on making sure customers are happy with their shopping experience. Customer relationships are obviously top priority here, and it's obvious! It's just a really welcoming and impressive company. Customers want to come back, and employees seem to love working there!

Confirmed questions2 questions

Behavioral

I sent in my application online and got a call back really quickly, like within a few days, to come in for an interview. When I got there, they had me wait in the employee lounge. Someone working there mentioned they'd been interviewing tons of people all week. The interviewer was really nice and made me feel comfortable. She asked me about my previous jobs and what I knew about the store. She pointed out that my class schedule, which is in the afternoons, might clash with their need for afternoon staff. They did send an email a few days later to let me know they'd hired someone else, which was better than most places that leave you waiting for ages.
