Account Executive
The interview process included an initial call with a recruiter where we covered basic questions about my past experience and my knowledge of the company. Following that, there was a more in-depth discussion about my sales approach and how I typically interact with clients and potential customers. The final interview, led by the Marketing Manager, was more traditional, focusing conceptually on sales strategy and process.

I was given a take-home test to build a modal window for adding a second-hand car. It needed to include header details like title, subtitle, and category. The form had sections for announcement details (title, make, year, mileage, fuel, color) and other details (damage status, price, currency, description). It also needed areas for warnings, errors, and help messages. I had to use only HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, no frameworks or libraries, and support modern browsers plus IE11. Specific requirements included validation for all fields with visual cues, number validation for mileage, showing a make/brand logo, displaying a color square, and dynamically showing/hiding a damage details field. They also mentioned code structure, organization, and that aesthetics/UX were a plus. After submitting, I got a generic rejection and had to ask for feedback. It turned out they expected modular and reusable code, which wasn't explicitly stated in the requirements. This suggests a lack of clarity from the HR or whoever wrote the test. I'm frustrated I wasted time on a challenge with unclear expectations due to incompetent people. Hopefully, HR can fix this internally.

Got a walk-in opportunity through Naukri, with about 50 other candidates. Started with an online test on some portal, having 3 sections: quant, English, and reasoning, with 20-25 questions total. After passing that, there was a pen-paper test with 10 questions: 2 scenario-based, 2 on Excel functions (MATCH, VLOOKUP), 3 on data interpretation, and the rest likely quant/reasoning. If you cleared this, there was an HR session with common questions, and if they were happy, they'd invite you to their office for the remaining rounds. This whole initial process took the entire day. Next, there were 3 rounds at their office, where senior folks grilled us. The first round focused on puzzles, quant questions, and previous company experience. The second round was more about the specific role offered, its in-depth description, your understanding of the job, and your potential contributions. If cleared, the final round was with the director, involving puzzles and similar questions. After clearing this, HR called within a week. I'm not sure about candidates who didn't clear. Then, negotiation and company policies were discussed, and the offer letter arrived within 2-3 weeks. Overall, a pretty smooth process.

Got a call from Talent Management, then attended an online test covering skills, personality, IQ, and technical aspects. After being shortlisted, I had a face-to-face panel interview within a few days. The interview was heavy on Linux technicalities. Following the technical round, I had a manager interview, which was helpful regarding the work environment. After that, there was an HR round, which was friendly. I received an offer within a week and joined within 20 days. It was a great interview experience that boosted my confidence in my technical skills.
