Information Technology
I had a terrible interview experience here, the worst in my career. I felt compelled to share my experience. They initially offered me this role via a HireVue process. This is a system where you answer a series of questions by recording yourself on video. During the interview, I started experiencing technical difficulties, possibly with the system or my camera, despite being an IT professional and tech-savvy. My screen went blank on the first question, and the video turned off mid-answer on the second. I attempted to contact support and the recruiter at OneOK to report the issue and request a redo, but received no response. About a week later, I got an email stating I wasn't selected. I was really looking forward to interviewing at ONEOK, and this was not the experience I expected.
- What qualities make someone a good candidate for this job?
Retirement Planning Specialist
I had to make a presentation on how I would help an employee get ready for retirement based on a provided persona. They also asked some easy, general interview questions. Communication has been poor; I've sent five emails with no reply, even though they asked about my availability for another interview right after our first one.
- What makes you want to join this company?
Systems Analyst
This was a lengthy process with several stages. I was recruited directly and had an initial screening call where we discussed my resume. Then, I had a second call with the recruiter who asked me to submit an application via their portal, even though they already had my resume and I'd been recruited. Filling out the application took about 2 hours. The recruiter and I communicated multiple times on LinkedIn, and I got the impression I was a strong candidate. They were very interested in moving forward. Finally, I was asked to complete a 10-minute video interview on HireVue, answering some questions. If I hadn't already received a verbal offer elsewhere, I would have had to go through even more steps before even speaking with the hiring manager.

Operations Specialist
The interview process started with an initial in-person interview at the office, involving five different people and lasting about 30 minutes. The next day, I received an email to schedule a second interview via Microsoft Teams. This second interview was a lengthy 3-hour session with five people conducting back-to-back behavioral questions. After the interview, I was told 'no news is good news,' so I waited three weeks for a response. I ended up calling the office for an update and left a message for the supervisor. Later that day, HR emailed to let me know I wasn't selected. The interviewers were very friendly and welcoming. The only downside was the extended time it took for them to respond about my application status, which is challenging when actively job searching. I had declined another job offer because I felt this interview went well.
