First up, there's an initial HR screening, just a quick call with the recruiter to chat about what you're looking for career-wise and what you've done. Then, you'll have to take a written/aptitude test, which seems like a big one, with most folks reporting they had to do it. It covers medical terms, anatomy stuff like the heart system, and basic coding. After that, there's a technical interview, could be in person or online, where you'll really get into it with the hiring manager about rules, ICD-10/CPT coding, and clinical notes.

My experience with Omega Healthcare’s walk-in interview for the Medical Reviewer position was pretty bad. I had prepared a lot with the needed stuff and answered well, but the interviewer just said my answers were wrong without a good reason. The whole thing felt super fast and not organized. My first round was super short, like 2 minutes, and then they sent me for another interview right away, no feedback or anything. It felt like they were just picking people randomly instead of actually checking if they knew anything or could talk well. It was really a downer for me, someone who actually wants to work in healthcare reviewing, especially because they didn't seem to respect my professional opinion. I hope Omega makes their interviews clearer and gives people who deserve it a real shot.

So, I had this interview process with Omega Healthcare. It was like three rounds, starting with some screening, then an assessment, and finally an interview. They really focused on basic biology, so definitely brush up on that! Omega Healthcare is this big company that does healthcare support stuff like revenue cycle management and analytics, and they have a big office in Bangalore where they offer good career paths for people with life science backgrounds, whether you're just starting out or have some experience. The job was for a Medical Reviewer, specifically for freshers, and it was a full-time day shift role in their Bangalore office. The main duties involved reviewing medical reports and data, making sure documentation was accurate for things like Oncology and Anatomy, working with doctors, and following rules. You needed a degree in pharmacy or life sciences and to know a lot about Oncology, Physiology, etc., plus good communication skills and attention to detail. They even offered day shifts only, good pay, health insurance, and training. The interview itself was a walk-in, happening weekdays from 1 PM to 5 PM between August 11th and 22nd, and you had to bring your resume, ID, and certificates. You needed to meet Sameer Ahmed from HR.

You can apply through the careers page, job portals, or campus placements. If you're shortlisted, we'll let you know via email or phone call. Then there's an initial screening, which is a telephonic interview or a walk-in. We'll check your communication skills, if you're okay with night shifts, and if you get the role. Sometimes, we also do reading and pronunciation tests for English fluency. After that, there's a Voice and Accent Round, focusing on grammar, pronunciation, clarity, and a neutral accent. This might be with a language trainer or a senior team member. Some places might have an optional aptitude test with English, analytical reasoning, and typing speed. The operations/process round is with the operations manager or team leader. They'll ask about medical billing, denial management, AR follow-up, and US healthcare basics. There will also be scenario questions, like handling a denied claim or talking to an insurance rep. Finally, an HR round to discuss salary, shifts, location, and company policies, followed by the final confirmation and offer letter.
