First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at OC&C Strategy Consultants.
Associate Consultant Intern
After being shortlisted, candidates got a case prep webinar and an Associate Buddy to ask questions about the firm, role, and interview process. The first round had two 30-min online case interviews with different interviewers. The cases were standard and manageable with prep. No formal behavioral questions, but 'Tell me about yourself' type questions were icebreakers, still good to prep for. The second round was in person with two partners, similar format with two case interviews, but slightly harder cases. Rounds differed mainly in interviewer seniority and case difficulty. After getting an offer, new buddies were assigned for more questions, and a celebration event and personal lunch were organized to learn about the firm. The post-offer stage was supportive and gave good insights.

Analytics Consultant
The interview process started with a recruiter call, then moved to a technical screen which consisted of two back-to-back 30-minute interviews with different interviewers. The first interview was a case focusing on modelling techniques and included some coding. The second interview began with motivation questions, followed by another case.
- Can you explain your motivation for joining OC&C and specifically the analytics role?
- Describe your approach to modelling for this scenario.
Associate
I had a great consulting case interview. The person interviewing me was really professional and nice, and helped me out a lot. They made it easy to think clearly and talk things through. The case was tough but fair, and they gave me just enough hints to keep me on track without telling me the answer. It felt more like we were solving a problem together than a test. I felt good when I left and was glad I could show what I can do.
- Could you please introduce yourself?
Intern
I had two interview rounds. First one was with two analytics people in London, they asked about regressions and how to explain technical stuff to non-technical people. Second interview was with a consultant/manager from HK, it was a case study about consumer goods, and I didn't do well.
- Can you explain how to perform regression analysis and what key considerations are involved?
- How would you explain the concept of R-squared to a non-technical audience?
