First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Nu Skin.
Brand Representative
The interview process was great - quick and to the point. They were very open to any questions I had. The interviewer was knowledgeable and professional. They welcomed questions and described their product, process, and belief in its effectiveness in great detail and depth, backing it up with research and data.
- Could you tell me why you chose to apply to this company and what your interest level is in our product?
- Why are you interested in this company and what is your interest level in the product?
Graphic Designer
I applied online and they got back to me pretty fast. During the video interview, super early on, they asked me if I had kids. I'm a young woman, and I'm not sure if they were trying to see if I'd be committed to the company or what, but it really shouldn't matter either way. That question caught me off guard, but I kept going with the interview even though it was unprofessional. We had a good chat about the job and what excites me about working there. Near the end, when I was showing my portfolio and talking about my projects, the interviewer seemed checked out and was looking at their phone. I noticed it but kept acting like I didn't. I was so hyped for this interview, but I left feeling let down. I definitely wasn't interested in working for Nu Skin anymore, and I figured they felt the same since the interviewer was so disengaged. It was weird though, they contacted me a few weeks later to see if I was still interested or had questions, but I decided to pull my application based on my gut feeling. Maybe it was just me?
- Could you present your portfolio to me?
- Tell me about the projects in your portfolio.
Marketing Executive
I had a virtual interview and then a face-to-face one. I did the talking, introducing myself and asking a lot of questions, and they were super helpful answering everything. It was a really nice process and I enjoyed meeting them.
- Could you share your motivations for wanting to join Nu Skin in the Marketing Executive role?
- What prompted your departure from your prior employment?
- What led to your career transition from accounting to the field of marketing?
Compensation Analyst
The interview process involved 4 rounds with a total of 7 individuals: first a VP, then another VP, followed by the direct reports (3 individuals), and finally the Senior VP and HRIS. The interview questions were good and the people were friendly and professional. However, I found the interview process to be too long, especially since the company doesn't offer a travel allowance, tuition reimbursement, or an office allowance for remote employees, which I discovered when I asked for the benefits summary booklet to access the total rewards package.
- What motivates you to want to work at NuSkin?
- Can you share an instance where you proposed a change?
