So basically there were 2 interviews, the first was a phone screening with an HR person and the second was with the software engineering manager. They were both really friendly and mostly asked about my project work and what I wanted from this role.

Had an initial HR phone screening, then a Teams meeting with the department head. These two rounds happened quickly, and then I was ghosted with no feedback from HR. The interviewers were nice and knowledgeable, and the process itself was smooth.

I applied on 10/24. The recruiter got in touch on 10/29 and set up a phone interview along with some assessments. I did the phone interview on 11/1 and was told I'd hear back about the next steps by 11/6. Since then, I've basically been ghosted. You'd think they'd at least send a generic rejection email after a phone interview.

I did the phone screen for this role last year and was reached out to re-interview this year. I didn't realize I had already interviewed with the company going into the second interview. Both times I didn't make it past the phone screen. I would say my experience was negative, because the first time I was ghosted and second time I was given a generic email rejection. The first time I took time off from my current job and failing to provide feedback or a response shows a lack of respect for the candidate's time and effort. I do feel like I was qualified but it's okay if I'm not the right fit. Good luck!
