The whole process started really slow. First, they sent me an email asking about experience and my English, it took 2 weeks because each email was a different question. Why didn't the interviewer schedule a meeting? After these 2 weeks, they said they couldn't continue the process, then after 1 week they sent an email again to continue. I continued and participated in 3 interviews. A common screening interview repeating all the questions from the previous 2 weeks. A technical interview and the last one with the manager. I was praised in all interviews. After that, they disappeared. They ghosted me. I sent emails and messages to the company and the person responsible for the process, but they just ignored me. It's really disrespectful. I don't recommend it to anyone, it's just a waste of time.

I had 4 interviews with Nortal. The first was with HR, the second a live coding test, and the third a technical interview with the client. They then moved me to a different opening, and I did another technical interview with live coding. That last interview didn't go well because I was asked to do live coding in languages that were listed as 'good to have' in the description but ended up being required. After that, I never heard back; there was no feedback, no follow-up, just silence.

The selection process was very long and demanding for the salary offered, which is well below the international remote market average, and inefficient. I went through a screening stage, then a technical interview with a consultant who asked me technical questions for about 1h-1h15 covering all sorts of topics. After that, I had a project to build an API with "production ready" requirements. This means you end up spending way more time on implementing logging, unit and integration tests, documentation, etc., than on the solution itself. Only then did I get to a preparatory stage where I could finally learn about the client (who, by the way, had many complaints on Glassdoor from devs about a toxic environment and disorganized processes). From there, I was expecting two more interviews with the client. Between each stage, there were several days of waiting, and there were some mix-ups from Nearsure regarding which stage I was in, what test I had to do, dates, etc. During one of these intervals, I completed a full process with another company and accepted their offer. In summary, the whole process would take 40 days or more, and you waste a lot of time before even knowing which client you'll be working for.

An IT Sourcer reached out on LinkedIn to set up a call, and they were flexible with rescheduling. Afterward, a recruiter called me for the interview, which was about 30 minutes long. They asked me about my years of experience as a Manual Tester, writing test cases, test plans, and test scenarios. I was also asked about my experience with Jira and Testrail, the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), and working with iOS and Android apps and devices. They also inquired about my experience with Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge browsers, my English proficiency, my salary expectations in USD per month, my availability to start, and if I had any upcoming travel plans.
