The interview process consisted of 3 consecutive rounds, each lasting about 2 hours. All interviews were conducted by members of the Public Health Department and potential collaborators. The first round involved two interviewers: an associate-level peer and a director. The second round had two senior directors, and the final round was with the VP of the Public Health Department. The interviews were primarily behavioral.

The interview process involved easy technical questions and nice interviewers. It started with a self-introduction, followed by broad questions about why NORC and your future career path. Then, they asked specific questions regarding your quant/qual research experience, programming languages, and research interests. I'm not sure if they asked behavioral questions, but it's probably a good idea to prepare for them.

It was a pretty long interview process, and kinda hard. I met with 9 people total. After all that, the SVP wanted to meet again but didn't say why. They asked me the exact same questions again. It was a bit weird since the first time meeting with everyone seemed to go okay. It left me confused and frustrated, and I didn't get an offer. I think maybe they weren't really looking for a strategy analyst, but more like a salesperson to bring in new clients. Super disappointing.

I had a first phone interview with a recruiter because I was referred by someone at the company. The recruiter didn't really answer my questions about the work environment, didn't explain clearly how this job fit into the company, and suggested other jobs that weren't open, even though my background matched the job we were talking about. The recruiter said she'd let me know when those other jobs opened up, but she never did. I had to contact her myself, and I still didn't get selected. Based on this, I wouldn't even think about working at NORC because applying is a complete waste of time, even with a referral.
