So, the first part of the interview was with the recruiter, and it was pretty standard. They wanted to see if my experience matched what they were looking for in the Marketing Specialist role. It was professional, but they made it comfortable, and I got to talk about my background in making virtual events happen, editing content, and digital storytelling. They asked the usual stuff like going through my resume, and asked for examples of technical support and speaker coaching I've done, and what tools and platforms I'm familiar with (like Zoom, Webex, Adobe Premiere, Audition, Microsoft Office, CRMs, social media schedulers, etc.). They were also interested in my live-streaming experience and how I explain technical stuff to executives who aren't technical.

Behavioral Other

The interview went fine. They said they wouldn't hire me because of a gap on my resume, which is their prerogative. My issue is that they had my resume before scheduling and shouldn't have wasted my time with phone and Zoom interviews if they had already decided not to hire me. It was also supposed to be a temp position, and I felt it was unfair and inconsiderate of them to ask me to commit to working for them for an indefinite period, while they wouldn't commit to a timeframe themselves. Maybe I dodged a bullet because I heard they penalized another temp for calling in sick.

I applied online and heard back from a recruiter within two days. My background in legal marketing really made my resume stand out for this position. It seems like having prior legal experience is a big plus for these roles. The HR recruiter was excellent – super friendly and enthusiastic, which definitely made me want to continue with the process. They're really good about keeping you informed about your application status and what's coming up next. I had a phone screening where they asked both situational and more in-depth questions about my skills, not just a basic chat. After that, I interviewed with the hiring manager over the phone, followed by her supervisor. The last part involved coming into the office to meet with a few team members. The whole thing took over a month, possibly because of vacation schedules.

Went through a phone interview and then an in-person one. The HR person was super nice and helpful, made me feel comfortable. An attorney was in the in-person interview and didn't ask many questions, nor did they really explain what the job skills were. The phone interview was with a remote manager who just went over the firm's benefits and didn't ask any questions.
