Customer Success Specialist
The interview process was structured and efficient, from the recruiter to the Head of Sales. After accepting the offer and resigning from my previous role, my start date was postponed to 1.5 months due to "global restructuring." I signed a revised offer letter for the new date, only to have the offer rescinded entirely few days before I was set to join. This left me without employment or income. The questions were relevant on CS experience and process management. All interviewers were kind, polite and easy going. My experience post-offer was unpleasant.
- Can you describe your experience with managing an enterprise client throughout their entire journey, from initial onboarding to eventual renewal?
Customer Success Manager
I initially applied for the Customer Success Specialist role but realized the Customer Success Manager (CSM) role was a much better fit for my experience. The recruiter for the CSS role agreed and suggested I apply for the CSM position instead. The first interview was a screening call to check my general skills and experience. Within two days, I had a Hiring Manager interview where I talked about my experience with customer engagement, getting people to use the product, training, and handling renewals. Two days later, I had a Peer Interview with the Sales Manager. We discussed how CSMs and Account Executives work together on growing accounts and preventing customer churn. I'm now waiting for the final round of interviews. I've put a lot of work into this and am hoping for a good result, especially since Nintex is a global company with good opportunities for career growth, which really fits with my background in digital transformation.
- What are your strategies for customer retention?
- Describe your approach to re-engaging customers who aren't using the platform.
- Can you explain how you create customer success plans?
Software QA Automation Engineer
The process was a bit long, not due to the number of interviews, but the time between them. First, a recruiter call to chat casually, break the ice, and let you talk about yourself. Then, an aptitude test on TestDome, which included IQ, QA, and coding questions (all multiple choice). I found this the toughest part, thinking you need at least 80% to pass. After that, a tech interview with two principals who assessed my experience and expertise, followed by a QA test and a small coding challenge. The final interview was a cultural fit session with the Director of Engineering from the US, like a managerial interview focusing on soft skills like critical thinking, logical skills, and your vision. Overall, I was really happy with how the interviews went. Everyone was friendly and easy to talk to, especially the director during the cultural fit. I was close to accepting the offer, but my current situation was unique; my manager and team treated me well and offered a competitive counteroffer.
- Can you create a test plan for a given test scenario within a limited time?
- Can you solve a coding challenge, similar to LeetCode easy/medium difficulty, involving prime numbers?
- What motivated you to pursue a career in QA?
Software Engineer
It started with an HR screening interview where they asked basic questions. Then, I moved on to an online tech test using TestDome. The questions were pretty straightforward but still a bit tricky. After that, I had a technical interview with two technical leads. They asked fundamental questions about OOP, Javascript, and Solid principles. They were super basic but tricky if your fundamentals aren't strong. I managed to answer most of the questions but didn't get the job. I'm pretty sure the competition was tough. Overall, it was a great interview experience with professional personnel.
- What is inheritance?
- Can you explain the Solid principles?
- What are your thoughts on API creation?
