So I had a quick chat with the recruiter on the phone, then a full hour with the hiring manager. After that, there was an hour technical test, and then three separate 30-minute interviews with people from different departments. The whole thing wrapped up with a final 1-hour interview with a C-suite exec. I had to take 5 hours of annual leave for it. Even though I got good feedback throughout and it took a lot of time, I didn't get the job and they wouldn't give me any feedback when I asked. But the 6 people I met were all really nice and professional.

All the interviews were done virtually. We started with an initial call with HR, then I spoke with the hiring manager and also C suite executives. I was a bit skeptical about the company due to the lack of racial and ethnic diversity, except in the IT/software areas. The management and C suite leadership are all non-diverse, which is quite odd given the company's international presence. Most other employees are white and Western, and I had a feeling that someone with a similar background would likely be chosen. I did my research beforehand, looking into current employee profiles and Glassdoor reviews, and they all seemed to fit this single, white, Western background, irrespective of their country. If you fit this profile, feel free to apply. Otherwise, I'd suggest looking for a company that values diversity more, in line with today's workforce.

The process was hands-on, relaxed, friendly, and in-depth. It was supportive and motivating. I met with various members of the team, which gave me a real feel for the company, the colleagues, and the management/team relationships.
