The interview process was quite unconventional and spanned a month. It began with a recruiter call where we discussed salary, and I was happy to find my requested range was agreeable. Subsequent Zoom and on-site interviews went well. However, during a later conversation, my salary expectations were brought up again. When I reiterated my initial ask, they suggested a 15-20% reduction, which was a deal-breaker for me. The recruiter's final call confirmed this, citing my recent period of unemployment as justification. This was surprising given our initial agreement. Additionally, the offer letter didn't include details about vacation or PTO, and my inquiries about this have gone unanswered. Overall, a strange experience.

I had a phone chat with a Recruiter, then got an aptitude test that didn't really seem to test what makes a good recruiter. Emails were super robotic. Next, I talked to the CEO on the phone. It was weird because they didn't ask any questions that would show if I'd be good at recruiting, mostly just open-ended stuff. Got a robotic decline email later. Honestly, after talking to the CEO, I expected a call back with feedback from the recruiter, especially since I'm a recruiter too.

I applied for an entry-level job and heard back from an HR rep in about a week. We had a nice chat for around 20 minutes, they asked me some questions, and then said I'd hear back within two business days if they wanted to bring me in for an in-person interview. I was happy to get a call the very next day to set up an in-person interview for the following week. This included a writing part and a pretty long one-on-one interview. My interviewer was really nice and made it less nerve-wracking than I expected. We got along so well that after we finished and I did more paperwork, they offered me the job right then and there.
