I first spoke with a recruiter at Netsertive, and it went really well because my background seemed to be a good match for what they needed. Then, I had a chat with the hiring manager, who was really nice and asked some pretty direct questions. But as we talked more, I realized they were actually looking for someone to do a bunch of different things: Account Management, Project Management, Data Analysis, SEO, and Creative Direction, all at a high level. I've got a lot of experience in project management, advertising, handling clients, data analysis, and paid placement, so I was good for most of it. But, I'm not an SEO expert, and that's why they didn't move forward with my application. I liked the people and the company culture, but the job seemed like it was trying to cover too many roles at once. They do offer good benefits though, and it seems like a great place to work if you're the right fit.

I applied through LinkedIn and had a great phone interview a few days after. The recruiter was super friendly and helpful, even giving me pointers for the main interview. The actual interview a week later was with two people and went really well. I felt I had everything they were looking for, so it seemed like it was all about whether they liked me personally. Then, there was complete silence for three months, even though I sent thank you notes and followed up. After a few weeks, I figured they'd gone with someone else. I eventually got a generic email saying they chose another candidate, which wasn't a shock given the three-month gap. The interviews themselves were great, but their communication needs serious improvement!

I had an initial phone interview with their head of human resources/internal recruiter that was super easy and very conversational. That interview then lead to a skype interview, but the skype interview had to be changed into a phone interview very last minute which was disappointing. During the interview I was basically just asked questions back to back to back-- very little actual conversation. I thought it went alright, wasn't too sure since it's hard to gauge over the phone. I got a call back for an in-person interview for their internal sales rep position instead of digital marketing which was fine with me since I could easily fit into either category. I haven't had my in-person interview yet, but I won't be surprised if it's the same deal as the phone interview.

It started with a meet and greet where I met people from different departments. They suggested I apply for the Performance Success Specialist role. My first interview was with two managers, which was a positive experience. Then I had a second interview with a team lead and manager, a third with another team lead and manager, a fourth with the director of client success, and a fifth with the SVP. After about two weeks, I got an email saying they hired someone else. I asked for feedback on areas for improvement, but didn't get a response. It felt like a lot of interviews with no feedback.
