Behavioral Technical Case

I went through three rounds of interviews with this company; the first was a phone interview with the recruiter in HR, the second was a half hour interview with two mid-levels, and the last with 7 varied level employees split into four half hour meetings. I really enjoyed meeting with about half of the creative team, but I realized that the company was not a great fit for me. By the end of the third interview, I knew that I would not be asked to take the position, and I was fine with that. I did not feel that a few members of the team were very professional, and the director of the creative team acted like I was wasting his time. He asked some of the strangest questions I have ever had in an interview, and he doesn't have a positive vibe about him. I am sure that there is a disconnect between him and his team. After meeting with him, I realized that it wasn't a good fit for me. It's a young company, which wasn't what I was looking for.

Behavioral Technical

I had an initial phone interview with their head of human resources/internal recruiter that was super easy and very conversational. That interview then lead to a skype interview, but the skype interview had to be changed into a phone interview very last minute which was disappointing. During the interview I was basically just asked questions back to back to back-- very little actual conversation. I thought it went alright, wasn't too sure since it's hard to gauge over the phone. I got a call back for an in-person interview for their internal sales rep position instead of digital marketing which was fine with me since I could easily fit into either category. I haven't had my in-person interview yet, but I won't be surprised if it's the same deal as the phone interview.

Behavioral Other

My interview experience consisted of a phone interview followed by a month-long process involving three in-person interviews. This also included a lunch with the team and shadowing employees. I asked about their timeline, and they mentioned a meeting with their senior director upon their return, followed by reference checks, and then I would need to give notice to my current employer. I received an HR email two nights later stating they had chosen another candidate. This felt unprofessional given the multiple visits to their office.
