It was pretty easy. First a phone call, then two zoom meetings. The first phone interview was basic, they asked general questions about my background and what I was looking for. After that, I had two separate zoom interviews where they asked more detailed questions about what I could contribute to the role. They asked behavioral and situational questions.

I got a call from HR after applying and they really sold me on the company and the job, making me excited for the in-person interview. But the actual interview was super awkward. One interviewer was complaining to the front desk about being sick and wanting to leave. Then the two interviewers came to meet me, acting like nothing happened, even though I'd just heard them being unprofessional. They sat me in a conference room and typed on their laptops the whole time, asking generic questions. One interviewer made a weird joke about my pharma background and drug use. The other interviewer tried to ask me about audio engineering, asking me to explain it in simple terms. The sick interviewer barely said anything until I asked her a question, then she put on a brief effort. It ended awkwardly, and I pretty much knew I wouldn't get the job. I didn't feel good about the company after that. The HR person was great, but the interviewers lacked basic etiquette. I got rejected the next week, which wasn't a surprise.

I had an initial call with HR that went really well and got me excited about the role. Since I'm not from Raleigh, the next two interviews were via Google Hangouts. They were about an hour each and used almost the exact same questions, just worded differently. It was all "Tell me about a time when" or "Give me an example of a time when" for two hours total. None of the questions really touched on my experience or qualifications, beyond the intro call. After about two weeks, I followed up to ask about the status and if they needed anything else like references. They then invited me for an in-person interview at their office. I said I was excited and would arrange flights, but also asked for a salary range. After that, I never heard from them again. So, there was one screening call, two Google Hangouts where asking about salary seemed to be a dealbreaker for someone living out of state. I'm not sure why they weren't upfront about pay, but after a few weeks with no response, I just gave up and moved on.
