I talked with a recruiter first, then the VP. The whole thing took about two weeks and they were upfront about what they needed. I got the offer by the second week. It was a pretty straightforward process. They were really quick to reply when I messaged them.

It was a long process, with several rounds over about 6 weeks. I met around 6 or 7 people and had a take-home assignment with a presentation. The presentation took me at least a day to make sure it was accurate and vetted for hiring managers. I kept passing each stage. It seemed like a good fit, but not exactly what they described. My background is working with a few specialists, but this sales role seemed more like a large call center. Near the end, about 35-40 days in, I asked about next steps and was told they had 3 more people to interview. I was surprised thinking I was only 1/4 of the way through after so many rounds. Later that day, I received the benefits package. I wasn't sure if it was a perfect fit, but I felt I could do the job and was excited. I wondered why they'd send the package if they weren't interested. Then, I was ghosted. I followed up multiple times and eventually got a message saying my skills didn't match the job description. It was frustrating to go through so many interviews if I wasn't a good match. Felt like a waste of time.

Behavioral Case Presentation

There were 3 interviews. The first one with the Hiring company had basic questions about the role, who you are, why you're interested, and why you think the role is a good fit. The second one was with the VP of Sales, where they got to know you, asked specific questions about your sales background, and then you did a roll play in a mock call situation where you acted as a client and they asked why the product is good for you.

Behavioral Technical

I had a phone interview. They asked typical interview questions like what I know about them, if I could make a billion calls a day, and if I was okay with sacrificing my life if I didn't meet goals. It made me sad because the company talks about helping kids but it seems like it's just sales. I wish being genuine and wanting to help kids find the right school paid well, because this didn't feel like they were in it for the kids. It's fine, but it's not my vibe.
