First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at NCSA College Recruiting.
Inside Sales
The job description was a complete lie. I have over five years of experience in telecommuting, and after the interview was set up, the recruiter said it wasn't enough. I don't understand how 'entry level' and 'no prior experience required' means five years of experience isn't enough. The recruiter clearly didn't read my application. They wasted my time with a 20-minute interview. The recruiter could barely speak coherently and was clearly unqualified for anything beyond basic jobs. They were unprofessional, unprepared, and underwhelming. The pay and benefits weren't nearly enough for the requested hours. Don't waste your time.
- Can you tell me about your sales experience?
Inside Sales Representative
Started with a recruiter chat, then had a call with a team manager. The third round involved another chat with a manager and shadowing an inside sales person. Finished with a fourth interview with a team manager. It was a pretty straightforward process overall, though I felt there were a bit too many interviews. They asked me the same exact questions four times in a row. They're looking for athletes who are driven to exceed monthly targets and are familiar with the recruiting process.
- Tell me about your general sales experience and your fit for the role.
- How well can you communicate over the phone?
- How motivated are you to support student athletes?
Inside Sales Representative
It was a lot of interviews that didn't really feel like interviews. For most of them, after the first one, they spent several minutes talking about the commission in detail. A lot of the questions were repeated. Most of it was about personality and where I see myself in five years, that kind of thing. Pretty standard interview questions.
- Could you try to sell me something?
- Where do you see yourself in five years?
- Can you explain how commission works?
