NAXION Interview Questions
& Process

The interview process started with a behavioral first round that included some math brain teasers towards the end. The second round had a full day of interviews which were a mix of behavioral and technical questions. We mutually decided I wasn't the right fit during the interview due to a conversation about their industry focus shift not aligning with my interests. The team was respectful and transparent.

First was a chill behavioral phone call about my background and experience. Then, four separate interviews with different teams, which weren't too hard but you gotta know the role. After those, a technical assessment with simple Python and HTML, plus a tricky OOP problem I couldn't nail. The assessment was kinda done live, they said they'd help, but mostly I was on my own. It's not super hard, but this small company is picky.

My interview experience was a nightmare. It kicked off with a recruiter asking for my transcripts and a writing sample. Then, I had a pleasant phone interview asking about coursework and internships. A week later, I went to their office for five 30-minute interviews with senior employees. Some were casual, asking about my coursework, while others threw riddles at me, wanting to gauge my intelligence. They gave me a probability question about coins and a dollar, which felt irrelevant and humiliating, especially when one interviewer smirked. I had to go through three more interviews after that, but thankfully, those interviewers were nice. Two weeks later, they told me they were moving on with other candidates, which was fine because I was completely turned off by the company. The receptionist was great though.

I had a great first interview. It was a thirty minute interview on Zoom where the interviewer asked me about my past experiences and why I was interested in Naxion. Two questions at the end that were pretty simple (one probability question and the other was a question about issues with a survey). The second round of interviews was pretty awful and made me not want to work for the company. It was three back-to-back interviews with higher-ups. I did not get a single question about myself or why my background fit well with the company but all the questions were mini-cases or random knowledge questions. In one question, there was a division problem and I asked if I could use a calculator and the guy laughed at me and said "Wow if you need to." On top of the negative experience, they told me they would get back to me within two weeks. My second round of interviews were on February 1st 2024, and after emailing them two times afterward, they did not reject me until May.
