My interview process with Mortenson was fast and very organized. I had two interviews in the same week after initial contact, which showed they were really interested. They said I'd 'hear back very soon' after the final interview, and hiring managers met right after, so I knew I was a top candidate.

The interview process was really straightforward and pleasant. It consisted of two parts, and both interviewers were very nice. They primarily asked behavioral questions, along with queries about location and travel requirements. The company's values really stood out!

I had an in-person first round with the hiring manager after meeting them at a university career fair. Then, I had a remote second round with a recruiter. I'm now waiting for the third round, which will be on-site. Both of the rounds I've had so far were behavioral and asked typical questions to understand how I solve problems.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

The process started with a screening and then an interview with the hiring managers, who were nice! It was relatively fine, though the recruiter only reached out via call and text, which was inconvenient. The interviews themselves were straightforward. A negative point was their ambiguity about the WFH policy; they mentioned a hybrid opportunity but it became clear that WFH wasn't an option for the first few months, and even then, it would be mostly in-office. I had to press them to reveal it's essentially an in-office role, with the hiring managers believing in-office collaboration is best, despite them being remote during the interview. They should be clearer about hybrid opportunities as I felt misled.
