I applied for the job online through the website. The hiring manager got back to me and we set up a couple of interviews. After that, I got the offer. The interviewer was really chill and asked me a bunch of questions.

I did my interview through college or university at their Atlanta location. The interview was very brief and there were three girls in the room with me all asking me questions. It was hard to tell what they thought of you. Questions were vague and fairly typical of interviews. Also note it's fairly difficult to get to the building security wise-checking in, getting a visitor badge, repeatedly calling up to ensure that you have an actual appointment, etc.

I had a phone interview, then was asked to complete a very long editorial proposal. It felt like they were using me and the other candidates to get editorial ideas for the future. I had what seemed like a great interview with the head editor in Los Angeles, who also asked me for more story ideas and to even work on a story. I did that, thinking I was being considered for the job, only to then hear nothing about whether or not I was still being considered. While chasing down my story, though, I learned that another candidate was doing the same thing! Yes, that's right, they were using me for free labor under the guise of "considering" me for the job. Sleazy, sleazy, sleazy. When I asked outright whether I was still being considered for a job, the answer was "Oh, we are going with someone with more experience." Stay away from this dishonest organization!

The whole process was really smooth. They're interested in getting to know you as a person. Building relationships with employees is a top priority for them. The people here are really down to earth and make the interview feel easy and nice. They really want to make sure you'd fit in and work well with everyone else in the office.
