Data Analyst
Had a first call with HR about salary, why I'm interested in Mcdermott, and some general HR stuff, also visa questions. Second call was with the hiring manager, team members, and the project manager, where they talked about the project.
- Tell me about your past experience.
- Do you have any general HR questions?
- Why are you interested in Mcdermott?
Project Planner
We started with a quick chat with HR, and then I had a meeting with the actual project team. We talked a lot about how I've planned schedules before, worked with different teams, and managed when things got tricky with resources or timelines. They also asked some 'what if' and 'tell me about a time' questions about meeting deadlines and keeping everyone in the loop.
- How do you manage situations where a project falls behind schedule and what steps do you take to get it back on track?
Graduate Electrical Engineer
The first round was technical with competency questions from the teams, which went well, but the interviewer was a bit demotivating. After that, I was invited for an HR interview in person, but they didn't even offer to cover travel expenses. The interview itself went well, but then they ghosted me.
- How are your communication skills?
- Can you discuss electrical engineering basics?
- Tell me about a time you dealt with a difficult colleague.
Mechanical Engineer
The interview process for this role was structured and professional, with several stages to assess technical abilities, past experience, and how well I'd fit into the company culture. They communicated well and gave me good feedback after every round. The interviewers were both professional and friendly, checking my technical skills and if I was a good cultural fit. The whole thing took about 3-4 weeks from start to finish.
- Can you describe your experience working in diverse cultural settings?
