Data Quality Analyst
The recruiter reached out, saying I'd be a good fit. The process had two phone calls, two video calls, and a test, which seemed like a lot for a junior, lower-paying job. The interviews were pretty standard and the people were nice. The recruiter and hiring manager kept saying I was a strong candidate. But after the last interview, I got a basic rejection email with no explanation. Then the same recruiter contacted me again asking if I was still interested because I was a great fit – even after rejecting me. It felt like an unorganized company that doesn't know what they need and wastes people's time.
- What are your long-term career aspirations?
Senior Manager
Started with an HR call, then a zoom interview with the Hiring manager. They asked about financial products, investment strategies, tax planning, and financial regulations. You might have to solve real-world scenarios or case studies too.
- Walk me through how you build a complete financial plan for someone new. Tell me about a time you turned a prospect into a client for the long haul. How did you do it?
- Describe your approach to successfully converting a prospect into a long-term client.
Financial Advisor
First, I had a brief phone conversation with one of the managers. They asked some basic stuff like why I wanted to be a financial advisor and what would make me a good one. It felt more like a chat than a formal interview, which was pleasant. After that, the manager mentioned they'd want me to come in for a second interview, which was conducted over Zoom. This second meeting was a bit more detailed, covering topics like commission and family support, and reiterating the question about why I want to be a financial advisor.
- What is your motivation for becoming a financial advisor?
- Why do you want to be a financial advisor?
- What would make you a good advisor?
Financial Advisor Trainee
There were three rounds of interviews. For the final one, I was asked to prepare a natural market list. The whole process was well-run and felt more like a conversation than an interrogation. The interviewers were really nice and happy to answer any questions I had.
- What qualities do you possess that would make you a suitable candidate for this position?
