It was a really informal interview. The person I spoke with was nice and chatty. It was quick and they only asked a few questions about why I wanted to work there and for examples of when I did something. I got the offer within a couple of hours.

Before the first interview, I was given a big design project to complete. Since I was unemployed, I spent a lot of time and effort on it. I traveled a long way for the interview, which went okay, but I wish I had known if it was a good fit before putting in all that work. They didn't tell me what the next steps were, which was strange since they said it was a first interview. This, and the project beforehand, made me wonder if it was a real interview or if they were just looking for ideas or already had someone in mind. I hope they don't use my ideas without credit since they took my printed work. I did get a rejection email with nice feedback on my work, which I appreciated.

The interview process was smooth and a really positive experience. The conversation was natural, and I felt good talking about my background and experiences. The interviewer asked good questions, and I got to show how my skills match the role. We also talked about the company culture and team structure, which gave me a good feeling about fitting in. By the end, I felt hopeful and positive about the job.

I had a quick phone interview with some basic questions and then we set up a formal Teams interview where I was supposed to present a SWOT analysis for a department I chose. We confirmed the date and time, but they never sent the Teams link. I tried calling multiple times with no response or any other way to get in touch. Unsurprisingly, I didn't get the job, but it would have been polite to at least let me know they weren't moving forward after we had already scheduled it. This was all three months after I applied.
