First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at MasterBrand Cabinets.
Sales Manager
I spoke with an HR rep and we talked about my experience in sales, managing territories, and cabinetry. I was quickly rejected because they felt I didn't live close enough to one customer, as my commute to one is 40 mins to an hour, and the territory goes the other way for 40 mins and over 4 hours to the furthest customer. They stated, "I am outside the territory of Denver proper." The HR person didn't seem to understand that there's naturally windshield time involved in TERRITORY Management!

Sales Representative
Had a phone screening with the recruiter, it was casual and they wanted to know my background and talk about the job. They rushed me to interview with the director of sales. It was just to get to know me. The director said to email him if I had questions. I emailed a thank you, but months went by. The recruiter and director both ignored my emails. Four months later, still no rejection or anything, so I withdrew my application. Unprofessional.
- Can you describe your approach to selling to contractors during site visits?
Salesforce Business Analyst
I interviewed for the Senior Salesforce Business Systems Analyst role at MasterBrand Inc. It was a 3-round process, with each round lasting an hour and mostly focused on my Salesforce experience. While the interview process itself was well-structured and engaging, I never got any communication about next steps or feedback, even after finishing all rounds and following up multiple times. This lack of response is unfortunately common these days, where employers don't seem to value candidates' time and effort, especially for senior roles. Ghosting people after multiple interview rounds is really unprofessional and leaves a bad impression. I hope MasterBrand Inc. will rethink how they handle candidate experiences and communicate clearly and promptly in the future.
- Can you tell me about your experience with Sales Cloud?
- Describe a time you dealt with difficult stakeholders who pushed back on your requirements.
- What are your best practices for Salesforce implementations?
Investor Relations Manager
My experience interviewing with MasterBrand Cabinets has been excellent. The process is transparent. Once you submit your application, progress is tracked through an online system. I had two interviews, first with a recruiter and then with the Director of Finance and Director of Comms. Unfortunately, I didn't get moved to the next step. I was notified promptly. Though I didn't get the job, I appreciated their follow-up. It was a great interview process, and I would consider MasterBrands for a future position!
- Tell me about a time you had to deliver bad news to a client.
