Communications Strategist
A recruiter reached out to me on LinkedIn, but initially used the wrong name. I was still interested in the role based on their brief description, so I applied through the company's website as they suggested. We spoke early the following week. The recruiter struggled to answer some of my questions, but I decided to proceed to the next interview. The hiring manager was very knowledgeable, though the job duties were different from what the recruiter had explained. I sent a thank you note after the interview but haven't heard back about next steps or even a rejection.

Intern
The interview itself was great, but afterwards they were extremely inconsiderate and disrespectful of my time. I was told I would hear back in "1-2 weeks" and after radio silence for 3 weeks, I emailed to check in. Still nothing. Another week goes by and I email again. A day later, I finally receive my rejection. I am not upset about the rejection itself, simply the disrespect of telling me a specific timeline and then proceeding to attempt to ghost me. I think companies who ghost people after interviews (especially in-person interviews) need to do better. Don't ask for my time to come to your office then not have the respect to spend 30 seconds sending me an answer so I can know and move on. And if they really needed 4 weeks to give me an answer, don't tell me they will reach out in "1-2 weeks".
- What is your life's motivation?
Legal Compliance Specialist
I got an email in August and scheduled a phone interview with a recruiter. Then, I had a video interview with two officers, which I felt went well. I wasn't selected to move forward. However, I had to chase the recruiter after not hearing back by the promised date. What was strange was that two months later, a different recruiter contacted me about the same job. I let the recruiter know I was recently rejected and hadn't reapplied. No reply. Two more months passed, and I got a rejection email. So, I was rejected for a job I didn't even apply for. It felt odd, unprofessional, and a bit unnerving.

Business Development Administrator
My recruiter was great, really efficient and gave good feedback. After a screening call, I had two formal interviews. Everyone was super nice and respectful, it really felt like they wanted me there. That's a big reason why I accepted! It seemed like a great opportunity with great people where I'd have the support to succeed. The recruiter even called me to see how I felt the interviews went before sharing the team's feedback, which made me feel like my opinion was valued.
