I had a screening call with a tech recruiter, and then moved on to a panel interview. The panel included the head of Cloud Engineering and a couple of other engineers. The engineers were engaged, but the manager seemed disengaged. Towards the end, I asked about the company culture, and the manager responded rudely, asking if I liked asking loaded questions. After the interview, I never received any communication, even after sending follow-up emails to the recruiter. My application status on Workday still shows 'Under Consideration' a month later. It's unprofessional to ghost candidates and get defensive about culture questions; a simple email stating they chose other candidates would have been sufficient.

I had a really good time interviewing with the company. Right from the start, the whole process felt organized and clear, which made me feel more confident and ready for each step. The recruiter was a big help in making things go smoothly. They were super supportive, kept me updated on everything, and clearly told me what to expect. They were friendly and professional, which made me feel comfortable during the interviews and showed how much the company cares about the candidate's experience. I'm really thankful for the effort they put in to make the process both professional and encouraging.

The TA team was very communicative and went above and beyond to ensure the entire process was (refreshingly) seamless and pleasant - and while I did not receive an offer in the end, this may very well have been the best interview process I've experienced from the HR team to the individual team members I met with. Rosalin in particular (Sr. TA) provided personal touches via phone calls throughout the entire process that felt genuinely of interest for both the company and myself. As for the concrete process: 1. Initial phone screen with HR. 2. Hiring manager interview. 3. Panel interview with four members relevant to the role - all individually scheduled for thirty minutes. This was seamlessly scheduled all in one shot within a few days based on availability. Lastly, I only write reviews if I'm particularly blown away by a service/experience/etc. Suffice to say, I'm impressed with Lytx's seamless recruitment process from what I was able to experience. No ghosting, consistent communication so you're not left wondering, and even a (oddly pleasant for what it is) personalized post-mortem like rejection call from the Sr. TA which included authentic care. Sadly, particularly in the state of the current market - these practices are almost unheard of. Bravo, Lytx!

The interview process took about a month. It started with resume shortlisting. Then, there was an Online Assessment on Hackerrank with MCQ questions on ML basics and 2 coding questions (Leetcode medium). After that, I had a one-on-one online Coding Round interview with a couple of coding questions (Leetcode easy) and discussions on complexity and optimization. This was followed by a Technical Interview where they introduced Lytx's work and asked questions from my resume (projects, interests, experience) plus ML basics like ML model pipeline, quantization, and transfer learning. Finally, I had a Managerial Round with the Hiring Manager, which was a friendly discussion about my motivation for joining, past experiences, strengths, challenges in computer vision, and my projects. The HR person was very helpful throughout the process.
