Software Development Engineer in Test
So I went through an interview process at LVT recently and figured I'd share how it went for anyone else prepping. It kicked off when a recruiter reached out, and we had a chat for about an hour. That call was basically to get to know me, talk about the job, and see if it was a good fit. Then came a technical interview that really covered a lot. You'll face questions about what you know and also some coding tasks. I really suggest practicing on sites like LeetCode or CoderPad, but don't just solve them. Think about how you'd test your code and what quality assurance approaches you'd use for tricky situations. That part is actually pretty important. The last stage was an in-person interview, which was supposed to be up to three hours. I met with people from management and the team. We talked about tools, how I'd handle testing strategies, and my views on teamwork and taking ownership. A few days later, I got an offer and accepted it.
- If you can solve some LeetCode problems and also think about how you would test them, that would be a good start.
- Also, be familiar with object-oriented programming concepts. Know how to test the process of building classes.
Competitive Intelligence Manager
Got a message from the internal recruiter and set up an interview with the hiring manager. I went to the office, met the recruiter there, and then had my interview with the hiring manager. After that, the recruiter I was supposed to meet with on-site was a no-show, and I just left. After all that, the recruiter just went silent - complete ghosting. Nothing at all.
- What are your methods for gathering intelligence?
- How would you go about disseminating gathered intelligence?
- What strategies do you employ to ensure the trustworthiness of your sources?
Business Development Representative
The interview process started with a quick phone call to see if I was a good match for the company. The recruiter was upfront about the position and any potential shortcomings in my resume, which was a good chance for me to introduce myself over the phone. After that, I had an in-person meeting with three managers. It went for about an hour and involved a lot of questions, many of them specific to the job and how my previous experience aligned with a BDR role. I found out the same day if they were moving forward with a decision soon. The next day, I got the offer and began two weeks later.
- Tell me about a time you failed and how you dealt with it.
- In what ways does your background prepare you for a Business Development Representative position?
Product Manager
It was a straightforward interview process with the LVT team. I started with a phone call with the LVT recruiter, followed by a Zoom meeting with the hiring manager. Then, I had an all-day on-site interview which included several 1-hour sessions with different cross-functional team members I'd be collaborating with. A few more Zoom calls with other stakeholders happened after the on-site, where I got to meet some LVT Executives, which went really well.
- Can you describe your general approach and philosophy to Product Management?
- How well do you understand the market and customers relevant to LVT?
- How would you handle and respond to specific hypothetical scenarios?
