First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Lorna Jane.
Stylist
The interview process was very chill, it felt more like a conversation than an interview. They were mostly getting to know me and then at the end asked a few scenario questions, and asked if I knew anything about the background of the brand.
- How would your background help you advise a customer?
- What do you know about the brand's history?
Quant Researcher
The interview process started with an online assessment covering mental math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, powers, and square roots of three-digit numbers), probability, logic, statistics, and pattern recognition. This was followed by a phone interview that included questions on probability, statistics, and some behavioral questions. You also had the opportunity to ask any questions you might have.

Human Resources Coordinator
The HR Business Partner contacted me via email to schedule a phone screen. After the phone screen went well, I was invited for an onsite interview the following week. It took almost a week between the phone screen and onsite, which felt longer than usual. The company is located in a pink warehouse, and the team seemed young and friendly. I was interviewed by two HR Business Partners. They asked typical questions, nothing too tricky, focusing on the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multitasking environment. Given that the role involved a lot of administrative tasks and I have HR experience, I was surprised not to hear back, not even a rejection email. They also inquired about salary expectations early on to ensure alignment. I suspect the reason I didn't get the job might be the interviewers' apparent lack of interest, despite my efforts to connect.
- What is your understanding of HR and its meaning to you?
Assistant Manager
I sent in an application online, and a few weeks later, I got a call from central recruitment for a phone interview. We talked a bit about me and the job, and then I was invited for a face-to-face interview the same day. I met with the area manager for about an hour. They said I'd hear back by the end of the week, but I had to chase them up and only got a response the following week.
- Can you tell me what you know about Lorna Jane?
- What are your strategies for keeping your team motivated?
- What is your understanding of 'Move Nourish Believe'?
