This was a terrible interview experience, surprisingly so given the company's reputation. The first screener was very unprofessional: they were late, snarkily told me to turn off my camera despite prep notes saying to keep it on, sounded distracted, and asked questions poorly with no clear direction. I felt they didn't adequately evaluate me. The call ended early. I followed the job description perfectly. I was promised an update by Tuesday, but didn't get one and had to follow up on Wednesday with no reply. On Monday, I received an automated hiring update for another candidate. I've removed this company from my list. I've never encountered such rudeness and dismissiveness. My advice is to fix the process, slow down, and get help for the early-stage interview team as they clearly can't manage timelines.

I went through a two-week interview process. It started with a call with a Talent Partner, then a second interview with the hiring team where we discussed my experience and went over situational questions. The final interview was a casual chat with the VP of Account Management & Customer Success. The hiring manager let me know the good news personally, and then I got a formal offer over Zoom with the hiring manager and Talent Partner. I liked how fast and open they were, and the whole process felt really smooth.

I applied online and then got an email from HR for an initial call. The call was about why I'm looking for a change and if I'm interested in joining loopio. The first technical round was a whiteboard interview on MS Word. I was given a question to solve without worrying about a specific language or syntax, which was nice. Afterwards, I discussed solutions and optimization with the interviewer. It seemed to go well, but the interviewer at the end mentioned they were expecting exact code and syntax, and wasn't clear about their expectations for the answer. I got a rejection email a few days later.

So I was connected with someone at Loopio by a mutual friend and did an informal first interview, then a recruiter called me. After that, I was given a take-home assignment. Once I finished it, they said I was too qualified and wanted to put me in for a more senior role. This meant starting the whole thing over, with another first interview. This was already over a month into the process. I agreed, and then waited a week for next steps. When I followed up, they basically said the new department didn't think I was a fit, even without seeing my resume. What annoyed me was that the recruiter kept giving me deadlines for hearing back but never met them. I always had to chase them, and I'd run out of ways to say 'just checking in'. Even though the feedback was always super positive, like 'you took our breath away', it felt manipulative, especially after putting in 15+ hours. My advice: take what they say with a grain of salt. I get that things change, but dragging people along for months and then disappearing isn't cool. I felt duped, but I had other interviews going on. Hope it's better for others, but it was the worst interview experience I've had.
