I chatted with HR, the hiring managers, and the SVP along with a people partner. I really liked how they did a mix of 'what-if' questions in one round and then a deep dive into the company's culture in the final round. They asked some challenging questions that really made me think about my career and feel confident in my choice to join Loopio.

I was contacted by a recruiter from Loopio for an initial phone screen, which was a pretty standard call where we discussed my background, my fit for the role, and the company's benefits. After that, I had an interview with two hiring managers. This interview felt very rigid and scripted, with a set list of questions that they didn't seem very engaged with. It wasn't much of a conversation, and they didn't offer any feedback. The questions themselves were also unnecessarily complex, almost as if they were trying to trip me up. They mentioned they were in the final stages of hiring for this position and had received a lot of interest. Given the current job market, it made me wonder why they would continue interviewing other candidates if they'd already decided on someone. Unsurprisingly, I didn't hear back for over a week, and when I followed up, I received a generic rejection email. It makes me question their advertised company culture when this is how they treat candidates.

Behavioral Technical

This was a negative experience. I had an initial phone screen with a Recruiter / Coordinator. It went well, so I was invited to the office to meet with a couple members of the team. The office on King and Bathurst was great and welcoming! I was very qualified for this role with experience in customer success and a proven track record of customer retention. I thought some of the questions asked were silly, but expected it because I read from reviews that culture and finding the "right fit" is important to them. I read that they have a Looper handshake which I thought was ridiculous, but brushed it aside. I was called two days after my interview stating that I did not get the job. I thanked them for their time, but was pressed to give feedback on their process. I asked for feedback on my interview and was not given any. So, I refused to give them any feedback. If I was to give them feedback, I would say that they should put some more thought into the hiring process instead of the half-day it took for them to make a decision and to address the diversity issue they have at Loopio. The lack of people in different age groups, races, and experience is lacking at Loopio and is very evident when visiting the open concept office. In summary, I would give them a bad review for lack of thought put into the hiring process, the lack of feedback provided on interviews, the pressing of candidates to provide feedback on their process, and lack of diversity among the employees.
