Associate Product Manager
So the first part was like a screening call, basically checking my understanding of the product manager role and if my background fit. The interviewer was nice and made me feel comfortable, which was great. They explained how the interview would go and let me take my time answering everything. We talked about what I've done before and how my skills could help the team. They really listened and even gave some feedback as we talked. It felt pretty professional and they communicated clearly and were respectful.
- Can you describe your experience relevant to this role, particularly concerning prioritization and PDF remediation tools?
Software Engineer
I put in an application and heard back from a recruiter. We set up a time to talk, but they had to cancel last minute and reschedule. We eventually had the call, and it went fine. Because English isn't my first language, they had me do a quick 20-minute English assessment. After that, I had a technical interview with two engineers. They gave me a coding problem to solve live, and I had to explain my thought process. I got it done and explained things like complexity, data structures, validation, and even some system design ideas. It felt like it went well. About a week later, I followed up to see about the next steps. Three days after that, I got a generic rejection email. I thanked them for the update and asked for feedback, but they never got back to me.

Account Manager
So, I had my first chat with a recruiter back in February, and they mentioned there would be three more interviews. First up was a meeting with a manager, then a panel interview with two of their colleagues, and then a one-hour presentation for the hiring manager. This whole thing went on from February until May, and I didn't get an offer. They then asked me to interview for a different job, and it all started over. After another month, still no offer. I asked for some feedback to see where I could do better next time, and while they said they'd give it, they never actually did. Communication was a big problem throughout the whole thing. It was hard to know timelines, follow-ups were slow or non-existent, and promises weren't kept.
- Can you outline a 30-60-90 day plan for your first three months in this position?
Technical Writer
For the "ideal range" of $80-100k, they want super technical experience, near dev level. Reading multiple coding languages, writing samples, making video, API docs, and more...not just that, but also a 5-step hiring process that includes a technical screening AND a "case study + presentation" that is not compensated. They weren't unkind. And I see from other reviews that this is normal but that doesn't make it right. It already took 2 months for them to contact me and I know for sure that process would've taken at least another month. All that for the above wage, and no compensation for the work you do before you're even hired? No thanks.
- They asked general questions about my experience during this initial interview.
