I got contacted for a job I applied for on LinkedIn and had a preliminary phone interview. They mostly asked about my availability to start ASAP. After talking to the receptionist, I was invited for a face-to-face interview. This turned out to be another preliminary interview where the hiring manager asked the same questions about my availability and start date, and if I was okay with the hours. He then asked if I could come back for another interview the next day at 7:15 AM. He talked a lot without explaining his own role, which felt unprofessional and a waste of time. It seemed like the company wouldn't respect my time by making me repeat questions.

Behavioral Technical Other

I applied for a PR job, but during the first interview, they said it's more of a management role, not really PR or sales. I initially thought it was a misunderstanding, but I went with it. They asked standard questions like why I'm looking to switch jobs, what I think the company does, why I want to work there, and what I'm looking for in a job. The recruiter asked about salary expectations, and I said I wanted to start at my current pay, expecting growth. She mentioned they start entry-level hires $8k higher, which sounded great. I got a call back quickly for a second interview. However, my suspicions were confirmed. The job wasn't as presented; I'd be working 50-60 hours weekly and start at $0 pay, relying solely on commission, despite them saying it wasn't sales. They advised taking notes, which was helpful. They need to improve their interview training. The second interviewer asked about my living status, which is illegal in California. This is ironic since compliance was supposed to be part of the job. While I don't wish them ill, I believe candidates should hold interviewers to the same high standards employers expect from candidates. I'm sharing this so future candidates aren't misled.

First they give you a call to tell you about the job and get to know you, then they schedule a face-to-face interview. I was skeptical after seeing bad reviews, but the recruiter convinced me to go. The office was beautiful and the hiring manager made me feel valued by spending time getting to know me and answering all my questions. They said they'd call if they were interested in a second round. I got the call! The process was amazing because they genuinely got to know me and tried to find a good fit. The staff is motivated, and in the second round, I got to shadow someone to see what a day is like. They want to see you succeed and be friends with you.

Behavioral Other

So there were three interviews in total. The first one was a chat with a senior manager, who just gave a quick overview of the job. The second interview was longer and involved an account director and a trainee. We talked a lot about the position, what's needed, what's expected, and the salary details. After that, there was a quick quiz to check if I was paying attention to the details from the second interview, like the job specifics and the account manager names. The final interview was with an assistant manager to wrap things up and discuss potential start dates.
