The first part was pretty fast and chill, mostly just talking about me and why I want this job. Then the second part had more questions about how I'd handle different work situations, like teamwork, doing stuff on my own, and managing my time.

The interview process was fairly easy. The initial recruiter call was handled much better than the interview with the hiring manager, who seemed a bit brash and uninterested. The hiring manager was overly direct and had a typical construction mindset. The position itself seems fine, and it appears the company is going through a transformation to a more corporate structure, which seems necessary based on the interview.

They asked me about my university experience, if I've used AutoCAD before, my reasons for choosing my program of study, and my motivation for wanting the position. They also inquired about any extracurricular activities I might want to mention. Basically, they were trying to figure out if I'd be a good fit for the team, personality-wise.

It all started with a quick phone call from the HR Recruiter. Then, I had an interview with a group of Managers the following week. Right after that, they said they wanted to check my references. The Recruiter called them, but then just ghosted me for three weeks. I called and emailed, but only got a generic email saying they decided not to move forward. It was a really weird and unprofessional way to handle things. My references told me afterward that the questions they asked were really standard. It's frustrating that they checked my references when they weren't planning to hire me! I definitely won't be applying to this company again.
