The interview process was generally good, and everyone I spoke with was nice and easy to talk to. It felt like it took a while though, and I wasn't always sure how many interviews there would be. A couple of times I had to ask for an update, wait a few weeks, and then they'd offer a 'chat', which turned out to be a regular interview. They asked good questions to really dig into my experience and how I would approach the role and certain specific scenarios.

They started with a call where we mainly talked about my college experiences. I shared details about my coursework, how much work I had, and my overall experience. They also shared more about the company and the role itself. It was a pleasant conversation where I did most of the talking.

Had a long phone call with HR. It was a pretty different interview than what I expected for a PR firm, but I actually liked it. They didn't ask a ton of questions directly about the job itself, but focused more on who I am and how I've grown. They asked a lot about my college experiences and things that might have influenced my writing or how I see things. You should be ready to talk a lot.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

I applied online and a recruiter from Launchsquad contacted me quickly for a call. The first call was over an hour long, with general questions about my college and current job experience. Then, I had to complete a writing test where I wrote a fictional press release based on a prompt. After that, I had a second interview. The interviewer was an hour late, and the interview itself went over an hour. The questions were similar to the first interview, but with more focus on PR fit and potential challenges. A third interview followed, which was also about an hour and similar to the first two, with another late interviewer. I followed up three times after these interviews but never heard back from Launchsquad.

  • What did you focus on in college?
  • How did you choose your college?
