The interview process started with a phone call that really dug into my academic background from school instead of my past jobs. They wanted to know how I managed during my busiest semester, my research experience, how my writing skills have gotten better since college started, and my reasons for wanting to join this company.

Had a long phone call with HR. It was a pretty different interview than what I expected for a PR firm, but I actually liked it. They didn't ask a ton of questions directly about the job itself, but focused more on who I am and how I've grown. They asked a lot about my college experiences and things that might have influenced my writing or how I see things. You should be ready to talk a lot.

This company is a total time-waster, they never get back to you even if you try to follow up. I did two interviews and a writing test and nothing. Super unprofessional, and it seems like I'm not the only one. First, I had an hour-long phone interview with HR in SF, covering basic experience and education stuff. Then, I had to do an hour writing test, creating a press release, which is pretty normal. After that, I had a 30-minute video interview with another HR person from the NY office, asking basically the same questions as the first interview. I never heard back, even after reaching out. It really shows how disorganized HR is and that they don't respect candidates.
